|Abstract: ||Co-operatives are organized groups of people and jointly managed and democratically controlled enterprises. They exist to serve their members and depositors and produce better benefits and services for them. The Central Co-operative Banks form an integral part of the short and medium term cooperative credit delivery system and also play a strategic role. Kangra Central Co-operative Bank Limited came into existence on 17th March 1920 (License No. RPCD.09/2009-10).These banks are important link between the State Co-operative Bank and the Primary Cooperative Societies. It is necessary to have central banks from administrative point of view and for economic viability of Primary Cooperative Societies. Central Cooperative Banks being an important funding agency help to prevent delay of financing credit to its members and also help to supervise the effective utilization of credit sanctioned to its member societies and individuals. This research will focus on the study of the growth and performance of the Kangra Central Co-operative Bank Limited functioning in the state of Himachal Pradesh.Researches will provide position of final statement, causes of financial problems and solutions. District co-operative banks help these societies to raise money by way of loans. Co-operative institutions have their own merits and demerits. Recently we have observed the fall of so many co-operative banks due to their poor financial health. This research is an attempt to study the performance and position of financial statement of Kangra Central Co-operative bank Ltd.
